When Chaslyn’s found out that her aunt had been diagnosed with breast cancer and was losing her hair and eyebrows due to chemotherapy, she began searching for solutions to help give her aunt the confidence she had lost. She learned about a cosmetic trend called microshading that could give sparse eyebrows a fuller experience, so she got certified in the technique. After seeing the impact it had on her aunt’s confidence, the scholarship provided funds towards opening her own studio to provide the service to the masses.
